Quick Review
Inner Frame
- Plastics quality is fantastics ;)
- Movement and posability is excellent!
- The green transparent parts (the GN condenser caps) pops out quite frequently... you can apply a little drop of modeling glue to one of the side so that it could stick a bit but not too difficult if you want to take out the cap later (I don't see why you want to take out the cap later tho :p)
Articulation (skeleton only)
- Head/Neck: Double joint system, excellent movement!
- Shoulders: Triple joint system, excellent movement! Can swing a great degree towards the chest and towards the back!
- Elbows: Double joint system, excellent as always :)
- Wrist/Hand: Excellent movement!
- Upper body/Chest: Tilting is possible, and this is great!
- Lower body/Torso: Ball joint, excellent as always.
- Hip: Excellent movement! Hope the armour/parts would not get into the way like Exia...
- Knee: Excellent as always (see photos).
- Ankle/Leg: EXCELLENT!
Articulation (complete with body armour)
- Head/Neck: No hindrance, excellent movement!
- Shoulders: The body armour hinders a certain degree of the ability to swing forward but it is not a big deal... still excellent!
- Elbows: Excellent as always :)
- Wrist/Hand: Excellent movement!
- Upper body/Chest: Tilting is still possible, and this is great!
- Lower body/Torso: Excellent as always.
- Hip: Excellent movement! Due to the body armour, the axe kick would look odd...as 00 Qan[T] is wearing bikini, there is very minimum hindrance to the movement ability of the hip :p
- Knee: Excellent as always (see photos).
- Ankle/Leg: EXCELLENT!
Exterior Armour
- The parts separations are done nicely as always ;) not very much extra work needs to be done, and the kit looks very good even for straight-build with panel lining only.
GN Sword V/GN Buster Sword
- The GN Sword V is very well design and it stays on the right hand pretty well for both Sword Mode and Rifle Mode ;)
- The GN Sword Bits can be combined with the GN Sword V to form GN Buster Sword without changing parts, which is excellent.
- The GN Buster Sword/Rifle is a bit too heavy... an Action Base 2 is actually included to aid the posing with GN Buster Sword/Rifle, which is very good ;)
GN Shield
- The GN Shield is pretty nice looking piece of equipment :) It has a GN drive within and it can be folded to the back and combine with the GN drive at the main body for the enhanced twin-drive system ;)
- GN Sword Bits can be attached to the GN Shield when not in use. This increases the weight of the GN Shield and the ball-joint at the wrist might not hold and the upperbody would slant to the left... this is not a big issue and I'm showing a quick fix below ;)
GN Drive
- The GN drive at the main body is identical to that in MG Exia.
- Sad thing is, the LED unit is not included within this kit :(
- For those who have MG Exia Ignition Mode, MG Exia Trans-Am Mode and MG GN-X, the LED unit is compatible ;)
General Comments
- This is an excellent MG kit for all!
- I highly recommend this kit since the price is good (RM139) during the promotion (while stocks last, I supposed).
- A lot of speculation that Bandai is going to release another version (Full Saber mode, Quantum System mode) soon, but I have not come across any news from any hobby magazine yet... my personal opinion, release of a new 00q mode is not going to happen in the next 6 months so, do get this if you like 00 Qan[T] ;)
The Journey Starts... photo to come...
@10 hours - Full skeleton is completed!
Great Articulation!
Arm-Crossing ;)
High Kick! Great Balancing!
Axe Kick
I am VERY HAPPY with this kit!
@16 hours - Main body completed!
Meditation
High-Kick!
Shoryuken!
Side-by-side with Exia :)
I did the panel lining with green instead of the usual black/gray ;)
I am still VERY HAPPY with this kit!!!
@20 hours - Full kit completed without decals :)
Small issue... the shield gets heavier when the 6xGN bits are attached. This causes the ball joint at the torso tilt to the left... I cut out a small piece of the rubber runner label (the one with PC-xxx on it) and slide it in between the abdomen and the torso (left side of course) and it fixes the issue ;)
I am still VERY HAPPY with this 00 Qan[T]!!!
@23 hours - Full kit completed with decals :)
The decals are very good, although it is child-play compare to what's in for V-Dash ver. Ka...
Setsuna F. Seiei's Mobile Suites
00 fan or not, 00 Qan[T] is a good choice ;)
Fin?
P/s. Quick Fix for the Overweight GN Shield Issue
The GN shield without GN Sword Bits... the torso joint still holds :)
After attaching the GN Sword Bits, the torso joint give way and the body slanting to the left...
I cut out a piece of the rubber runner label ;)
And insert it in between the abs and torso, the left side off course...
Issue addressed ;)
Fin ;)
