MG GAT-X103 Buster Gundam (Bandai)

Hi folks :) Here's another of my half-commissioning work :P In fact, this was done before my earlier shared Blitz Gundam ;) In case you are wondering, this is Bandai.

Same as the earlier Blitz Gundam, there will not be pictures of the runners and skeleton build.

Section 1: The Legs

Very solid legs with excellent parts separation! I actually took apart the outer armor for trimming of nub marks. Bandai has done very good job in articulations and parts separations.

Section 2: The Waist Unit

Very nicely done waist unit :) Excellent parts separation. Absolutely love it!

Section 3: The Arm Unit

Pretty good articulation for the arms in skeleton, but elbow movement is hinders by the bulky armor. This is not big of an issue as you do not really need to bend the arm till that degree ;)

Section 4: The Shoulder Unit

Excellent parts separation! Missile pods can be opened ;)

Section 5: The Chest Unit

Parts separation is near excellent. The lower abdomen allow the upper body to tilt in all direction, adding a great deal of pose-ability to the kit ;)

Very nice detailing too :)

Section 6: The Head Unit

Same as the rest of new SEED kits, excellent parts detailing and separation.

Section 7: Weaponry

94mm High-energy Rifle

Long range rifle for precision shooting that usually mounted on the left side (of the backpack) of Buster Gundam.

350mm Gun Launcher

Wide area Gun Launcher for crowd control that usually mounted on the right side (of the backpack) of Buster Gundam.

Quick Review

Plastic Quality and Detailing

Since this is a Bandai original, no issue on the quality of the plastic. As for detailing and parts separation, Bandai have done an excellent job.


Articulations

Articulations are very good! Bandai did great with the new SEED series!

• Head/Neck: Good!
• Shoulder: Very good!
• Arm/Elbow: Good!
• Wrist: Good.
• Hand: Good... I like the fixed hands ;)
• Waist: Very Good!
• Skirt Armour: Good.
• Hip/Tight: Excellent!
• Knee: Excellent!
• Ankle: Good.
• Feet: Good.

Looks and Feels

This kit a very nice. Although the price of 4000 Yen seems a bit stiff for a simple kit, the parts separation and detailing actually makes it worth the money.

The decals are in the right amount... not too much as a Ver. KA but good enough to improve the impression of the kit by a great deal ;)

Same comment as my earlier review on Blitz Gundam, I'm giving this kit 100/100! I ABSOLUTELY loving this kit! If you are a SEED fan, this kit is a must have!
