HG Age-1 Spallow Special (Dragon Momoko)

Hi folks :) Here's the 3rd release of Dragon Momoko HG Age-1 series, Spallow Special Edition ;) Yeah, I actually skipped Titus but it would be up some time later :)

Manufacturer: Dragon Momoko
Scale: 1/144
Grade: HG
Origin: Gundam AGE
Price: RM30 (Contact me at for availability)

Please take note that I did minor coloring and panel lining ;)

Section 1: Runners

Detailing are fantastic! Good job, Dragon Momoko! I would say it is up to 99% as good compare to the original, and it surpassed the original with all the additional :)

Let's count the amazing add-ons: -
  • Astreae's Prototype GN Sword,
  • Zee Zulu's Heat Claw,
  • Astray Blue Frame's Armor Schneider x2,
  • Astray Blue Frame's Heel Armor Schneider,
  • Cable Claw
The plastics quality is pretty good so you can treat it like mostly an original ;)

Instead of being like Bandai where multiple colors are molded on a single runner, Dragon Momoko separates into single-color runner :P

Section 2: Legs

Very good detailing, and good addition in the form of Armor Schneider blade on the heels ;)

Important: When assembling the thigh (step 14 on the instruction), use PC7 instead of PC1 as illustrated in the instruction manual or else you would be short of 1 PC1.

Section 3: Waist

Pretty straight-forward build with very good parts separation ;) Just a little tight fitting in the PC to the side skirts :P

Section 4: Chest

Pretty straight-forward build too :) Excellent parts separations and great shoulder articulations, credit to Bandai ;)

Section 5: Arms

Pretty good arms articulations for a HG! Dragon Momoko provided some new parts for the forearms for the mounting of the Prototype GN Sword and the Heat Claw but the original parts are also included in case some of you would like to do the original form ;)

The manufacturer also provided a different shoulder armor for the mounting of Armor Schneiders ;)

Section 6: Head

Same as the Age-1 Normal version... Very nice parts separations :) The foil sticker for the sensors also fit nicely.

Section 7: Weaponry

Tons of weapons are included in this special package of Age-1 Spallow ;)

Shiguru Blade

The weapon of the original Age-1 Spallow, but better than the original, the green part is semi-transparent material instead of a sticker :P

Prototype GN Sword

The GN Sword "borrowed" from Gundam Astraea ;) Again, this surpasses the original by applying semi-transparent part for the blade.

Heat Claw

This, is borrowed from Zee Zulu ;) And needless to say, better than the original :)

Armor Schneider

MG daggers for a HG... sweet ;)

Section 8: Posing Time

This kit is with excellent articulation (credit to Bandai) so it is highly pose-able ;) Do enjoy these pictures while I take more with different pose ;)

Quick Review

Plastic Quality and Detailing

The plastic quality pretty good so no extra precaution needed... just treat this as other plastic kit ;)

The detailing are very nicely done and it comes close to 99% of the original. This model surpasses the original with all the additional weaponry ;)

Articulations are fantastic for a HG! Good work, BANDAI!
  • Head/Neck: Normal.
  • Shoulder: Excellent! Able to do very handsome posing ;)
  • Arm/Elbow: Good!
  • Wrist: Normal.
  • Hand: Normal.
  • Waist: Good.
  • Skirt Armour: Normal.
  • Hip/Tight: Very good!
  • Knee: Excellent!
  • Ankle: Normal+.

Looks and Feels

The detailing are nicely done and no lost of any detailing. Just be extra careful not to poke your own hand with the VERY SHARP V-Fin ;)

Not much to say as this is actually a better Spallow then the original :P This is a very good replacement for the original and I highly recommend this over the original due to the additional weaponry ;)

Fin :)
