This is one nice bootleg... almost fully identical to the original kit ;) Could consider if you want to have an army of Zaku II in MG :p
Part 1: Box Art and Instruction Manual Cover
The box art and instruction manual is exactly the same as B**dai, except they are in Chinese & English language which is more friendly to us ;)
Part 2: Runners & Decals
The runners are also exactly the same as the original, except probably the plastic quality and color quality ;)
This kit comes with dry-transfer and dry-sticker which is the same as B**dai.
Part 3: Legs
The legs are pretty steady, and highly articulated. Parts separation is pretty well-done, and the exterior armor does not obstruct the movement and pose-ability of the legs ;)
Inner Frame
Comparison between Bare & Armored
Completed Legs
Part 4: Hip/Skirt
The hip is pretty nicely done ;) Although the side skirt will pops out occasionally on some extreme posing, this part is excellent.
Inner Frame
Completed Hip/Torso
Part 5: Lower Body
Putting together the legs and the hip/skirt would form the lower body ;) Let's take a look at some pictures...
Inner Frame
As you can see from the pictures below, the lower body is HIGHLY articulated! Pose-ability and balancing is fantastic!
Completed Lower Body
Part 6: Chest, Torso and Backpack
The chest, torso and backpack should the the simplest of all :p Having said so, the shoulder joints employed a pull-out mechanism thus allowing better posing possibility ;)
Inner Frame
Complete Chest, Torso & Backpack
Joining Up with Lower Body
Part 7: Arms & Hands
Excellent articulation! And very nice parts separations.
Inner Frame
Right Arm with Shield
Left Arm with Spike
Part 8: Head
The mono-eye is moveable left and right, and the head can tilt up and down slightly for pose-ability ;)
Inner Frame
Completed Head
Part 9 - Complete Inner Frame
The Iron Man pose could be done without much effort ;)
Part 10: Before Decal
Part 11: Completed with Decals
Quick Review
Plastic quality
Pretty nice. I only have a slight discoloration on my right tight armor which is very minor and not noticeable ;)
Articulations
This model is the best from TT Hongli that I have build :) Nevertheless, these good rating is due to B**dai have made an EXCELLENT version 2.0 of Zaku II and TT Hongli doing a fantastic job replicating it :p
- Head/Neck: Excellent!
- Shoulder: Fantastic! Very highly pose-able with the pull-out mechanism.
- Arm/Elbow: Excellent!
- Wrist: Normal+.
- Hand: Normal+.
- Waist: Normal+.
- Skirt Armour: Very nicely done! It won't get in the way even with some challenging pose ;)
- Hip/Tight: Excellent!
- Knee: Excellent!
- Ankle: Very good ;)
Looks and Feels
TT Hongli did pretty good Zaku! I am tempted to get the whole series of Zaku from TT Hongli after building this fella :p Even my straight build looks pretty nice, imaging if you are planning to touch-up and re-color. Excellent option for modding.
Fin ;)
Now I'm gotta purchase this one, because of the quality and its cheap price :D great review anyway!
